Our founder, Carl Voth, understands the stress of living under a deadline, working 80 hours a week, going over budget, and missing weeks (even months) of his children’s lives because projects have to get out the door. But he also knows it doesn’t have to be this way.
He founded EasyCAD so that his peers, fellow AEC professionals and surveyors, can enjoy the creative and productive aspects of their jobs, without the unnecessary and avoidable stresses that make this line of work so difficult to sustain.
Carl has created our standard templates with your team’s quality of life, productivity, and efficiency in mind. And while he works with teams like yours to design customized options, he’s simultaneously an active CAD user and designer. With ongoing projects like commercial site development, subdivisions, and hydrology, he stays fresh in the software and understand personally the experiences of his EasyCAD customers.
Meet Carl
Carl has 26 years of experience in design and engineering. He originally wanted to be an artist, and found engineering as a way to channel his creative passion while avoiding starvation.
He has become a sought-after expert in maximizing the tools engineers and surveyors use every day.
Carl’s two favorite things in the world are a great deal and a good joke. In light of that, and to annoy fellow artists, he provides a 10% discount on any template, provided the font used throughout is Comic Sans
